<p>PURPOSE:To treat waste PVC with good efficiency by cooling the gas produced by cracking and emitted from a thermal cracking furnace to 250-300 deg.C in the 1st packed bed then cooling the same to about 110 deg.C in the 2nd packed bed and further treating the gas with a neutralizing scrubber. CONSTITUTION:Waste PVC is charged into a muffle furnace 3, and is cracked by heating with a heating means 6, after which it is recracked in a catalyst packed bed 5, whereby the amt. of the heavy oil production in the gas produced by cracking is reduced. Thence, the gas produced by this is supplied to the 1st and 2nd oil separating towers 11, 17 successively, where heavy oil and light oil are separated. These oils are stored in an oil tank 13. Further, the gas produced by cracking passes through a limestone bed 20 of a neutralizing scrubber 19 wherein the surface of the limestone bed is held wet, thereby causing the hydrogen chloride in the cracked gas to make neutralization reaction with lime. The thermally cracked gas which is removed of oil contents and hydrogen chloride is stored in a gas holder 23, after which it is utilized as fuel for the means 6 through a duct 9.</p> |
