<p>The solar energy source comprises an array of solar cells (16) and a switching converter (18) to convert the cell electric output to the levels and type of supply required for the load. A control circuit varies the output parameters to max. the power applied to the load. The controller (20) automatically regulates the output parameters to track the volt-amp characteristic of the load (12) or of the supply (16). The controller compares successive samples of power measurement (Io,Vo) and operates the switching transistor (T1) through an integrator, to vary the amplitude of the power pulse applied to the load.</p> |
