PURPOSE:To obtain a thin layer type color photographic material subjected to no adverse effects on developability of silver halide and free from color fog, by adding hydroquinone substituted by a specified group. CONSTITUTION:A nondiffusible compound to be added to a color photographic material is composed of at least one of hydroquinone derivatives expressed by formulaIin which R1, R2 are each H or >=12C alkyl but both are not simultaneously H and alkyl; and R3 is >=12 C alkyl or alkoxy, expressed by formulae II and III, thus permitting the obtained photographic material to be adapted to a thin layer type, to be effectively prevented from color fog without being adversely affected in silver developability of silver halide, and not to be changed in hue even by being processed n a high pH processing soln. |
