PURPOSE:To drop a required quantity of gelatin aqueous solution to a horizontal substrate to obtain recording materials, by graphing the interrelation between the concentration and the volume of the gelatin aqueous solution when the thickness of a gelatin film to be applied to the substrate is set in respect to a recording medium for phase type hologram. CONSTITUTION:For the purpose of obtaining a hologram using a gelatin dichromate recording medium, a measuring cylinder 1 is used to supply 1-10wt% gelatin aqueous solution, and a required quantity of this solution is dropped onto a glass substrate 3 to form a horizontal coating film of a gelatin aqueous solution 2, and this film is dried, and a prescribed thickness is given to this film. In this case, interrelations between capacities ml and film thisckness mum corresponding to concentrations 1wt% (graph a) and 5wt% (graph b) of the used gelatin aqueous solution are obtained preliminarily on graphs. A required volume of the gelatin aqueous solution is determined quickly on a basis of the area of the glass substrate 3 and required film thickness mum and concentration (1.5wt%). Thus, a recording medium for phase type hologram which has always a constant quality is formed. |
