PURPOSE:To prevent a welding defect, by spraying a cooling liquid in the direction where vapor of an evaporating cooling liquid is not made to flow backward to a welding zone, when a thin diameter metallic pipe containing a plastic covering filament body, obtained by welding is cooled by the cooling liquid. CONSTITUTION:A metallic tape 2' is worked to a pipe so as to contain a plastic covering filament body 1 which is running, in its inside. Subsequently, a joint of this tape 2' is welded in order by a welding torch 3, by which a thin diameter metallic pipe 2 is manufactured. Subsequently, this thin diameter metallic pipe containing the plastic covering filament body 4 is made to pass through a passing hole 10 of thin diameter metallic pipe and is fed into a cooling zone 6. Thereafter, the thin diameter metallic pipe 2 is cooled by jetting a gas liquid mixing body 12 for cooling from plural nozzles 11 provided between a welding torch 3A and the zone 6, and also it is prevented that vapor of an evaporating cooling liquid flows backward to a welding position. |
