PURPOSE:To enable to conduct heat exchange between a dilute low-temperature gaseous fluid and a low-temperature liquid at a high efficiency and with a low pressure loss, by a method wherein a plurality of thermally conductive perforated plates and a plurality of spacers are alternately joined to each other to form a passage for a dilute low-temperature gas. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanger for a cryogenic device used for exchanging heat between a low-temperature liquid and a dilute low-temperature gaseous fluid, a plurality of the perforated plates 7 made of a material having a high thermal conductivity such as copper and a plurality of annular spacers 8 made of a material having a relatively low thermal conductivity such as stainless steel are alternately jointed to each other so as to prevent leakage, thereby forming a passage pipe 9 for the dilute low-temperature gaseous fluid 10. A pipe 11 for passing the low-temperature liquid 14 therethrough is thermally joined to the periphery of the pipe 9. Accordingly, the coefficient of heat transfer on the gas side is enhanced, the heat loss due to conduction through the pipe for the dilute low-temperature gas is remarkably reduced, and a small-type heat exchanger having a high efficiency and a low pressure loss is obtained. |
