PURPOSE:To collect the gas phase in an insulating gas-liquid two-phase stream, by providing a high electric field region and a low electric field region on both sides of a mesh like electrode interposed therebetween along a flowline of the insulating gas-liquid two-phase stream. CONSTITUTION:A high voltage electrode 15 and an earth electrode 16 are provided in an outer pipe 3 and the high voltage electrode 15 is formed of a cylindrical mesh comprising a conductive material. The earth electrode 16 is formed into a cylinder comprising a conductive material and concentrically positioned in the high voltage electrode 15. The earth electrode 16 is constituted of a mesh so as to make it possible to pass a gas phase to the inside and the outside thereof. In this separation apparatus 1, when air is blown into a liquid phase in the outer pipe 3 from a blow nozzle 8, air bubbles are equally distributed in the vicinity of the blow nozzle 8 but collected to an electric field free region 18 as the bubbles rise up. In this way, the gas phase is separated from the liquid phase. |
