PURPOSE:To obtain a floating head slider which makes the fixed-head-disk-file formalization or short seeking distance formalization easy, by forming plural sets of negative pressure generating sections in parallel with each other in the longitudinal direction of the constitutins surface. CONSTITUTION:A floating head slider 1 is formed with a rectangular block 2 having (l), length and positive pressure generating sections 5 and negative pressure generating sections 4, which are separated from each other by buoyancy adjusting grooves 6, are installed in parallel with each other in the longitudinal direction of the constituting surface 3. Magnetic thin film heads 8 are installed to the utmost rear end parts 9 of the generating sections 4. When such simple constitution which can easily be produced is used, the floating head slider which can make the fixed-head-disk-file formalzation and the short seeking distance formalization easy is obtained. |
