PURPOSE:To attain efficient operation, by providing a constitution register independently which arbitrarily controls the connection and disconnection of interfaces between various devices, and between the various devices and a console controller. CONSTITUTION:A main storage device 3-0 and a CPU4-0 are connected by taking a console controller 1-0 and a storage controller 2-0 as a center of form a subsystem 6-0. When the system 6-0 desires to incorporate the main storage device 3-2, after the internal state of the device 3-2 is changed to a connectable internal state, the controller 1-0 sets the content corresponding to the device 3-2 by a constitution control register 8 to ''1'', which controls the logical connection/ disconnection of the interface signals between the various devices. Thus, the devices 3-2 and the CPU4-0 are connected logically and they are incorporated in the subsystem 6-0 in operation without hindrance. |
