PURPOSE:To reduce the power loss of the power supply as well as to contrive light-weightedly of the same by a method wherein the auxiliary power for the control circuit of a switching regulator is supplied from the output of the inverter which is provided at the output terminal of a switching regulator. CONSTITUTION:When a DC power source 1 is turned ON, a control circuit 31 starts operation. The desired physical quantities such as the output voltage, current, power and the like of load 5 are detected by a detecting circuit, the detected output is fed back to the control circuit 33, and the ON-OFF operation of the switching transistor 33 is controlled so that the output of the control circuit 31 will become constant. Also, when a high frequency voltage is induced at the winding 424 to be used for the control circuit, said high frequency voltage is rectified by a full-wave rectification circuit, and supplied to the control circuit as a power source for the control circuit, i.e., auxiliary power of the switching regulator 3. |
