PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a turbine from being cooled rapidly at the time of stopping operation of a gas turbine, by releasing the discharged air from the outlet of a compressor to the atmosphere and thereby preventing intrusion of air into the turbine. CONSTITUTION:Variable stator blades 6 are provided at an intermediate portion of a fluid passage 5 extending from the outlet of a compressor 1 to a combustor 4, and an air bleed 7 is formed between the outlet of the compressor 1 and the variable stator blades 6 in the manner that it is communicated with the atmosphere via a blow-off valve 8. In stopping operation of a gas turbine, the air discharged from the compressor 1 is released to the atmosphere by opening the blow-off valve 8 and closing the variable stator blades 6. |
