PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of a cassette device for a printer and reduce the cassette device to compact size by supporting a sheet receiving plate on the upper part of two parallel links formed by rotatably supporting two plate pieces of the same length in x-shape, and vertically moving the receiving plate in a horizontal motion. CONSTITUTION:At the time of loading paper, an upper cover 13 is lifted up and turned clockwise to expose a cut-sheet receiving plate 16, and paper is inserted from right to be fed under a separating finger 18a. At this time, a lock lever 17 is turned counter-clockwise by a spring 24. Subsequently, the cut-sheet receiving plate 16 is pushed down to expand parallel links 19 right and left and vertically compress the links, so that a shaft 19a descends in a guide groove 21 to be engaged with the forward end of the lock lever 17 and retained until the cover 13 is closed. When a desired number of cut-sheets are loaded on the receiving plate 16 and the cover 13 is closed, the lever 17 is turned to release the engagement of the shaft 19a, so that the receiving plate 16 can be moved up. In this arrangement, the capacity of the cassette device can be increased and the device is reduced to compact size. |
