PURPOSE:To enable the sepn. of specific components and blood cells and the efficient measurement thereof in a short time, by coating an absorptive carrier contg. a reagent for measuring the specific components in a bodily fluid, more particularly blood with a mixture of a polymethacrylic acid and polyvinyl formal. CONSTITUTION:A liquid contg. a coloring reagent of enzyme or the component produced by the reaction of enzyme and the specific components and other additives, etc. is impregnated in an absorptive carrier such as filter paper and is dried in order to measure the specific components such as glucose, pyruvic acid, etc. in a bodily fluid, more particularly blood. Such carrier is dipped in a liquid prepd. by dissolving equal weights of a polyvinyl methacrylate and polyvinyl formal in CH2Cl2 and is then dried, wheeby test paper is obtd. The test paper is adhered to a base such as polystyrene, whereafter the base is cut to a test piece for determining the components of the boidly fluid having a suitable size. A blood is dropped on such test piece, and after the blood is washed away by washing for about one minute, the water is absorbed away with dry filter paper, and the color, intensity of fluorescence, etc. are measured. The infiltration and sticking of the components that hinder the measurement of the blood cells, etc. into and on the carrier are thus eliminated and the measurement in a short time by the direct use of the blood is made possible.
