The invention relates to scissors, having steel scissor blades (5) in the cutting region and plastic stems and eyes, the plastic overlapping the steel extending beyond the joint pin hole towards the scissor blade tip and the joint pin being situated in the overlapping region of steel and plastic and being adjacent to a stopping curve (crescent), and proposes, in order to optimise the structural shape and the manufacture, that the steel region of the scissor blade (5) be continued in a plastic-encased stem portion (6) which is attached, to the side of the straight line (x-x) passing through the tip (S) and the joint pin (11), to an arcuate flank (14), of which the edge situated between the hollow (15) and end face located approximately at right angles thereto forms the vertex line of the crescent stopping curve (17), opposite which the face (18) of the intermediate of the plastic casing runs in a recessed fashion. <IMAGE>
