The plunger type metering unit (1) includes a filler valve (2) and a reservoir (3), for the filler liquid. A valve (4) and opening (5) connect the reservoir with a space (6) having an outlet aperture (9) and screwed down filler tube (11). The apertures (5,9) are superimposed on a common vertical centre-line. The valve (4) and closure plug (8) are fitted on a common actuator rod (12). This enables alternate opening and closing of the apertures. The filler tube has a conical bottom part with a number of outflow apertures. Coaxial inside the filler tube is a draw-off tube extending into the top of the conical surface and connected via the filler tube side-wall to a vacuum pump.
