<p>PURPOSE:To save time and labor required for inputting of translation data remarkably by taking in the translation data automatically by an optical character reading device. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of inputting paper 10 is set to an optical character reading device 12, and coordinate data 102 are supplied to a character picture separating section 18 and an output edition processing section 28. Characters and graphics etc. are read by a scanning section 16, and translation data 100 are supplied to the character picture separating section 18. Here, the translation data 100 are separated into character data 104 and graphic data 106, and a character recognition processing section 20 performs character recognition processing only for character data 104. A translation processing section 24 performs translation processing for character code 108 using a translation dictionary 26 and outputs data of the result of translation 110. Data 110 and 106 outputted from the translation processing section 24 are supplied to the output edition processing section 28, and after combining and editing, printed out on a sheet of outputting paper 30.</p> |
