摘要 |
PURPOSE:To enable a prolonged use in a high temperature and reducing atmospheric gas containing a carbon compound by arranging a basic refractory containing one of a alkaline metal and an alkali earth metal in contact with a measuring electrode. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolytic tube 1 is inserted into an inner hole of an almina protective tube 10 with the left end closed having an opening 11 for introducing a gas to be measured and charged by a compression spring 14 built into an end housing 13. A basic refractory 12 such as magnesia is interposed between the hemispherical closed end of the solid electrolyte 1 and a hemispherical closed end of the protective tube 10. Such an arrangement of the oxygen sensor can reduce the carbon precipitation readily generated near a measuring electrode and fear of a trouble due to it even in the prolonged use in a high temperature and reducing atmospheric gas containing a carbon compound even when platinum extremely high in the carbon precipitation catalystic action is used as measuring electrode as compared with the conentional type. |
