PURPOSE:To reduce the titled device in size by opening the light shielding cover of a cassette storing in its inside an accumulation type fluorescent plate in a body to read out a radiation picture. CONSTITUTION:The cassette storing the fluorescent plate 30 on which readiation pictures are recorded is iserted from a cassette insertion port into a reader. Consequently, the cassette 28 is held by the end part or the like of a cassette holding part 20 and the light shielding cover 28a is unlatched by un unlatching part 29. When a read starting button is depressed, a motor 25 is started and the cassette 28 starts to move in the right direction. On the way of carrying, a support (not shown) for regulating the turn of the light shielding cover 28a is suspended downwards by its light weight and the surface to be travelled of the fluorescent plate 30 is exposed. When the cassette is continued to be carried, a reading optical system starts to read out the picture. |
