PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient servo write device capable of accurate servo write even for flexible mediums by providing a frame for fixing a flexible disc. CONSTITUTION:A flexible medium 11 has the outside circumference fixed by a frame 8, which is held by an air bearing 9, and a retaining ring 12 and has the inside circumference fixed to a spindle 7 by a retaining ring 13. The disc is rorated by the spindle, and the frame 8 and the medium 11 are rotated as one body. The air spindle is so constituted that a force is given in three directions by supply of compresed air from the directions of arrows and the frame 8 is floated stably by air as shown by the figure. A clock head and a write head can be separated optionally, and flutter, is prevented by fixing the flexible disc to the frame 8, and therefore, the effect of accurate servo write is obtained. |
