PURPOSE:To increase noise margin and to eliminate the danger of being struck by lightning by using an optical cable with no conductivity to an optical signal for transmision of a vertical direction, and applying photoelectric conversion to the optical signal transmitted in the vertical direction, and transmitting in the horizontal direction by a conductive wire. CONSTITUTION:The primary color signals are supplied to an A/D conversions 106R, 106G, and 106B, and a digital output signal is supplied alternately to single field memories 171R, 171G, and 171B, and 172R, and 172. Five scan lines are changed into four lines, one out of three lines is data-selected 108 for every field, then sequentially inputted into a multiplexer 109 in order of R, G, and B, and each output is photoconverted 110, and is sent to central positions of horizontal arrays 401, 402...463 of each of units on a display through optical fiber cables 301, 302...363. Where an electric signal applied with photoconvaersion is supplied to the horizontal array unit through a demultiplexer.
