<p>PURPOSE:To separate and to recover a CO gas from a mixed gas containing CO, by blending Na-A type zeolite or Na-A type zeolite impregnated with Fe ion with a binder, molding the blend, heat-treating it to give A type zeolite, using it as a selective adsorbent for CO. CONSTITUTION:A mixed gas of CO, H2, etc. evolved from the device 1 is compressed by the compressor 3, through the adsorption columns 8 and 8' having the first half parts packed with active alumina for water adsorption and the last half parts packed with Na-X zeolite for CO2 adsorption, so that water and a CO2 gas in the mixed gas are adsorbed. The mixed gas containing CO, H2, N2, etc. is introduced to the CO adsorption columns 18 and 18'. The adsorption columns have been packed with A type zeolite obtained by blending Na-A type zeolite or Na-A type zeolite impregnated with Fe ion with a binder, molding the blend, heat-treating it, only CO is adsorbed, desorbed by the vacuum pump 20 at low pressure, and taken out as the highly-concentrated CO gas 21. The adsorption columns 8 and 8' and the CO adsorption column 18 and 18' for adsorption and desorption are changed alternately and used.</p> |
