PURPOSE:To make delay setting by software unnecessary to eliminate the overhead by using a channel control word where a dealy is set, and providing a microprocessor, which interprets this channel control word, and a programmable timer. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit of a system issues once a start input/ output instruction accompanied with the channel control word, to which delay of a certain time can be set, and petches in said instruction through a channel bus interface 8 provided in a channel part 4 and holds it temporarily in a random access memory RAM10. Thereafter, a microprocessor 9 interprets this channel control word and executes required processings through an input/output bus interface 12 and an input/output bus 5, and the programmable timer is used to set delay of a designated time. Thus, delay setting by software is unnecessary because prescribed command training to a terminal equipment is performed. |
