PURPOSE:To provide an anti-fogging agent having an excellent anti-fogging effect over a long period of time, by adding a cationizing agent and an anionic surfactant in this order to a soln. of a specified resin mixture. CONSTITUTION:73-87pts.wt. 10% aq. soln. of polyvinyl alcohol, 3-7pts.wt. highly methylated melamine/formaldehyde resin and 3-17pts.wt. hydrosol type water-soluble acrylic resin are thoroughly mixed with one another with stirring. 1-2pts.wt. cationizing agent such as 3-chloro-2-hydroxy-propyl trimethylammonium chloride is added to the soln. of the resin mixture to cationize the resins. 1-2pts.wt. nonionic surfactant such as polyethylene glycol phenyl ether and 1- 3pts.wt. anionic surfactant such as sodium alkylamidesulfonate are added in order to the mixture to obtain the desired anti-fogging agent. The agent is applied to a glass sheet and cured by heating to form an anti-fogging resin film.
