PURPOSE:To reproduce surely and easily the welding phenomenon of an electric welded pipe without using a steel pipe by curving two metallic sheets so as to have prescribed curvature, butting the sheets at a V-shaped edge and welding the sheets at the welding procedure point formed in such a way. CONSTITUTION:The two welding sheets 5 are used and are curved transversely in a way as to have the prescribed curvature. The curved sheets 5 are so combined that the edges on one side thereof face each other. Squeeze rolls 6 having the same radius of curvature as the radius of curvature of each curved sheet 5 are disposed at the points corresponding to finish forming rollers of an actual pipe making line to support the sheets 5. A fin pass roll 10 is inserted between the opposed edges of both sheets 5. The edges of both sheets 5 are butted to each other by the rolls 6 having the same radius of curvature as the radius of curvature of the sheets 5 and a top roll 9 on the downstream side and the non- metallic inclusions in the molten metal are discharged to the outside in the same way as with the actual machine by such butting. |
