PURPOSE:To improve the dust arresting efficiency and to prevent the arrested dust from rescattering by providing an excellent water-repellent filter of a low pressure loss and a high performance in a middle stage filter as a succeeding stage of a filter of intermediate performance. CONSTITUTION:In an air conditioner for cleaning a room external air passes through a mesh 1, a first coarse particle filter 2, and a first eliminator 3, and 60-70% of mists, waterdrops and minute particles are eliminated. Remaining large-diameter particles are reeliminated by means of a second coarse particle filter 5 of the forward stage filter and a second eliminator 6 thereof. Next, the relative humidity of external air is eliminated by a heater 7. Then, 50-80% dusts having a particle diameter of 0.3mum or more are eliminated. In this case, a filter 20 of a low pressure loss and a high performance is intensified of its water repellency, and eliminates 99.97% or more of dusts having a diameter of 0.3mum or more. Blast air is introduced into the room further through a humidity regulator 10, a cooling and heating apparatus 11, and a high performance filter 13. |
