<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled component excellent in productivity without the variation in electric characteristics on irradiation with rays by a method wherein a sealed body is made of colored glass. CONSTITUTION:A diode chip is held by a Dumet wire constituting a pair of electrodes 2 and is sealed with a cylindrical opaque glass-sleeve 4 made of colored glass, resulting in the construction of a Zener diode 5 of low noise and low voltage. An element which does not substantially transmit light when the glass sleeve 4 is made thick as required, or which has such a permeability that the illuminance of rays reaching the diode chip 1 through the wall of the glass sleeve 4 becomes less than a prescribed value is used as the colored glass. This manner allows no influences of radiation with rays on electric characteristics and unnecessites coating over the surface of the sealed body, leading to the reduction of the manufacturing process and to the improvement of productivity.</p> |
