In a transposed conductor bar having four vertical columns, the conductors of the inner columns are transposed in opposite directions, first into the adjacent outer columns and then into adjacent inner columns, while each of the outer columns is transposed, first into the non- adjacent inner column and then into the opposite outer column. The sequence is shown by line 17 in the Figure, a complete transposition is provided over the slot length. Separate cooling channels or hollow conductors may be provided for cooling. |
