PURPOSE:To maintain the stability for a long period by plating plural positions of the surface of a shape memory Ni-Ti alloy with a metal having lower specific resistance than the alloy and by joining signal input and output terminals to the formed metallic layers to improve the adhesion of the joined parts. CONSTITUTION:Two or more positions of the surface of a shape memory Ni-Ti alloy are plated with a metal having lower specific resistance than the alloy such as Cu, Ni, Au or Ag, and signal input and output terminals are connected to the formed metallic layers. Since the terminals are well joined to the alloy, the stability of the resulting shape memory alloy element is maintained for a long period. |
