<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the breakdown of a thermal head due to high-tension discharge by removing charges charged to a record medium to a ground through a platen roller under the state in which it is brought into contact with the charges. CONSTITUTION:A platen roller 2 is constituted by molding an elastic material having conductivity to a mandrel consisting of a conductive material such as SUS in a monolithic manner, and the mandrel is connected to the ground side of a thermal-head driving power supply 6 through a conductive bearing mechanism 4 such as a ball bearing and a metallic frame 5 for a device and an FG wire. A heating element for a thermal head 1 is also grounded to the ground side of the power supply 6 by a GND wire 7-a. Accordingly, a record medium 3 triboelectrified at high potential by travelling is destaticized by the platen roller 2 before discharge is generated between the record medium and the heating element for the thermal head 1.</p> |
