Aligning equipment is esp. for paper sheets cut for printing machines. It consists of front markers and a sideways drawing device with a holder working against it. The holder includes a spring-tensioned holding element which - during the drawing process - is connected to the paper sheet (2) and is non-rotatably guided parallel to the front markers (3). The holding element is made as a suction unit (18) rigidly attached to the stacking table.
