PURPOSE:To enlarge the effective shifting length of movable coils, by arranging two coil elements so that a driving force may be received by the elements alternately in the same shifting direction in each stator rail. CONSTITUTION:So for as a movable coil type linear motor is concerned, coil elements 2a, 2b are respectively and movably contained in stator rails 1, and the end sections 3a, 3b are formed to be protruded from the opening sections 4a, 4b of the stator rails 1. The both end sections 3a, 3b are connected together with a bracket 5 for connection at a right angle to the shifting direction of each coil elements 2a, 2b. Then, the length L2 in the effective shifting direction of the movable coils 2 is made larger by the length of one coil element 2a or 2b. A field magnet 6a consisting of a plurality of permanent magnets is provided for the upper face of one side of the stator rail 1a, and a line pattern 8a in contact with a brush 7a is provided for the lower face of one side, and a yoke 9a is arranged under the pattern 8a. |
