PURPOSE:To prepare a cold rolling oil for steel plate, having high emulsion stability, by adding an oil-soluble anionic substance to a specific rolling oil to reduce the zeta potential of the oil, and adding a water-soluble cationic emulsifying agent to the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective cold rolling oil can be prepared by (1) adding (A) an oil-soluble anionic substance, e.g. organic acids such as stearic acid, oleic acid, etc., an animal or vegetable oil containing free fatty acid, an acidic phosphate, etc. to (B) a rolling oil composed of a mineral oil and/or a synthetic ester to decrease the zeta potential of the rolling oil to <=70mV, and (2) adding (C) a water-soluble cationic emulsifier composed of a salt of an amine such as aliphatic amine, ethanolamine, polyamine, etc. to the above mixture. |
