PURPOSE:To make it possible to find out the sum of vectors only by one instruction by adding a data distributing means and a calculating means to a normal vector arithmetic unit. CONSTITUTION:A vector adding means 300 transfers the added result of vector elements to the data distributing means 400 through a data bus 30 and the means 400 transfers the vector elements of the added results to vector storing means 100, 200 alternately through data buses 40, 41. The calculating means 500 has control buses 50-53. The number of vector elements effective for the vector adding operation is applied to the vector storing means 100, 200, the vector adding means 300 and the data distributing means 400 through the control bus 50 to execute addition corresponding to the vector elements in accordance with the number of elements. The control bus 51 receives the end of the vector adding operation, the control bus 52 receives the number of effective vector elements for the sum and the control bus 53 informs the end of the operation for the vector sum. |
