PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive adhesive of high water resistance, giving high bond strength, especially suitable for application of flooring or wall material backed with flexible PVC, comprising, as binder, a reaction product from silane compound and vinyl acetate. CONSTITUTION:The objective adhesive comprising, as binder, a reaction product from (A) a silane compound, esp. one having double bond (e.g., vinyl trimethoxysilane) and (B) vinyl acetate. The amount of the component (B) to be used in the above reaction is pref. such as to be 0.5-2wt.% based on the component (A), also, other monomer(s) may be subjected to the reaction or copolymerization. |
