A strip of fasteners comprises an elongated strip 10, Fig. 1 (not shown), having an aperture formed by punching two tab numbers 14 and 15, Fig. 3 (not shown), projecting from the strip and each being bent out their outer ends to form flanges 12 and 13, a fastener, e.g. a nut 20, having a flat base portion with slots at opposite ends thereof, the slots being loosely interengaged with the tabs, and a closed or C-shaped spring clip 27 to engage below the flanges 12 and 13 and prevent withdrawal of the fastener in a direction generally perpendicular to the strip.
