PURPOSE:To prevent the extension of paint to unpainted parts by fitting a forming die provided with a lug part into the unpainted part of a resin, coating a strippable paint, irradiating a laser beam on the parting line, coating paint and then detaching the forming die. CONSTITUTION:When a resinous product of complicated shapes such as an automobile bumper is painted, a forming die 6 made of an elastic material and having a lug part 6a is fitted into the grille part 5 of the bumper 1. In this case, the leading end of the lug part 6a is positioned on the unpainted part side of a painting parting line. Then a strippable paint 8 in the same color as the base color of the bumper is coated on the surface of the bumper 1 and the surface of the forming die 6 by a spray gun 7. When the paint is then dried into a resinous coated film, the coated film is cut by melting with a laser beam along the parting line. Paint is further coated on the part to be painted and the forming die is detached. Consequently, the extension of paint to the unpainted part is surely prevented.
