A support post comprises an extrusion 1 of constant cross- section, at least one channel section 2 being provided and preferably three spaced and located as shown, each channel section accommodating an infill strip for receiving bracketry. An area of the post is provided with an electrically operable light source (within clip arrangement 9) and a light diffuser 7 is fitted between two free ends of the support post across that area of the post in which the 2 light source is located.
