PURPOSE:To correct even minute distortion due to the expansion/contraction of an object to be depicted which occurs at reading the picture on a picture input device by correcting and processing the minute distortion in the reading processing of the graph drawn as the basis of a lattice. CONSTITUTION:From a graph 10 drawn on the basis of the lattice of the object to be depicted, the picture of the graph only and the graphic picture including the lattice are read by an observing device 11, and are respectively stored in memories 14 and 15. The correction of the linear distortion due to the rotating distortion of the graph and the expansion/contraction of the object to be depicted including the lattice obtained in such a way is executed through a reference point detecting circuit 16 and an address control part 17. A minute distortion correcting circuit 18 makes primary windows 19 and 20 run from the center of the rectangular area in the upward and downward directions and in the right and left directions for the picture data in the rectangular area inputted, extracts the position where the number of black picture elements is the threshold value or above determined beforehand, and detects the fine distortion quantity. By a minute distortion quantity, the picture of the memory 14 is corrected and the graphic picture is read. |
