PURPOSE:To enhance safety of a life vest, by doubling hook-shaped parts of a pair of bags constituting the life vest. CONSTITUTION:A hook-shaped part 6 is inserted into the other hook-shaped part 5 from its one opening end 11a made on supporting cloth, the end of the hook-shaped part 6 reaching to the other end 11b of the hook-shaped part 5. These doubled hook-shaped parts 5, 6 are connected together by locking members 12a, 12b at each end of them to prevent their separation. After the connection between both bags 1, 2, a fixing belt is attached on the back of bags 1, 2. For wearing, this vest is put through the circular hole formed with the hook-shaped parts 5, 6 around a man's neck, and carbonic acid gas is blown into the bags 1, 2 by strongly pulling cords from cut-case 7, 8.
