摘要 |
PURPOSE:To prevent the float, exfoliation and crack of an a-Si layer by providing an intermediate layer consisting of an amorphous metal between a base and the a-Si layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body 1 is constituted of the base 2, an intermediate layer 3 and the a-Si layer 4 and a photoconductive layer 5 is constituted of the layer 3 and the layer 4. The intermediate layer 3 is an amorphous alloy formed by, for example, a liquid quick cooling method. The amorphous metal has no long-distance order characteristic in the structure as compared to a crystal and therefore the problem such as the matching of the lattice constant at the boundary is negligible if the a-Si layer having likewise no long-distance order characteristic is deposited on the amorphous metal. The trap density for a carrier at the boundary between the a-Si layer 4 and the base which is heretofore of a problem is thus decreased and the electrophotographic characteristics are improved. |
