PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacturing of the title hollow body and to make sealing perfect, by covering a part required in sealability after restoration with a film softened or melted under the restoration temp. of a restorable foam and providing the restorable foam covered with said film in the hollow part of a hollow body to restore the same by heating. CONSTITUTION:At first, a bonding agent 2 is contained in a foam 2 being a stock material and said foam is subsequently compressed under heating and pressure in such a state that the bonding agent 2 was softened or melted by heating and cooled while the compressed state is succeedingly held to solidify the bonding agent 2 to obtain a restorable foam 3. Next, a film 4 is provided to the outer peripheral surface of the restorable foam 3 obtained in the previous process in a closely adhered state and the restorable foam 3 provided with the film 4 is inserted in the hollow part of a hollow body 5 and restored by heating. Because thus obtained foam filled hollow body 5 is filled with the foam at the end part thereof, there is no possibility such that a liquid is penetrated in the hollow body from the filled part. |
