PURPOSE:To improve the cleaning efficiency of air-cleaner by forming the cleaner element into a board having flat filtering face while arranging partitioners for flowing yet-cleaned air in zigzag over the entire filtering face in yet-cleaned chamber. CONSTITUTION:Negative intake pressure to be produced through operation of engine will pass through the cleaning chamber 9 and the cleaner element 10 and function into the yet-cleaned chamber 8 thus to flow in the atmospheric air into said chamber 8. Consequently, yet-cleaned air is guided to a guideboard 17 where it is U-turned and flows in zigzag along plural partition boards 181-183. Then it will pass through the cleaner element 10 and filtered by the intake negative pressure in the cleaning chamber 9 thereafter flows into the clean chamber 9 and led through the discharge path 16 to the intake tube. Since yet-cleaned air in yet-cleaned chamber 8 will flow through a guideboard 17 and respective partition board 181-183 entirely over the flat and wide filtering face of the cleaner element 10, intended purpose can be achieved.
