PURPOSE:To make a conventional head cover unnecessary, to improve work efficiency, and also to obtain the titled mechanism whose quality is stable, by constituting it so that the first magnetic converter does not contact to a recording medium, when inserting and discharging the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When read-out is not being executed, an arm 11 is raised by a movement of a bail 16 of a solenoid magnet, the second magnetic converter 6 is separated from a recording medium 9, and the abrasion is suppressed. When inserting and discharging the recording medium 9, the arm 11 is further raised by a cam mechanism which is interlocked with a knob lever shaft 20, and the second magnetic converter 6 is further separated from the recording medium 9. In the same way, when the knob lever shaft 20 is turned in the open direction, a cam 21 rotates and a gap is formed between the tip of the cam and one end of a rotary lever. Therefore, the rotary lever 18 is rotated in the direction as indicated with an arrow by a reset use torsion spring 22, the first arm 24 is drawn down and the first magnetic converter 2 is separated from the recording mechanism 9, and the recording medium 9 can be inserted and discharged without contacting to each magnetic converter 2, 6.
