PURPOSE:To obtain a high boosting action while reduce the diameter of a power piston by relatively displaceably fitting a push rod in the axial direction into a power piston via a reaction disk made of an elastic material. CONSTITUTION:The inside of the shell 1 of a booster is partitioned into a front air chamber 8a and a rear air chamber 8b by means of a diaphragm 6 constructed in an integrated form with a power piston 7. And, a cylindrical body 12 forming a valve device is provided in an integrated form with the back side of the piston 7, while an operating rod 13 which is connected to a brake pedal at the outer end of the cylindrical body 12, is provided through the body 12. A push rod 22 which connects the piston 7 to the cup piston 8 of a master cylinder 2, is relatively displaceably fitted and held via a reaction disk 23 made of an elastic material, and the piston 3 of the master cylinder 2 is forwardly moved via the push rod 22. |
