PURPOSE:To improve the conveying and fixing properties of a sheet-like object to be conveyed by forming at a pitch of 0.4mm a recessed part 2mum in depth from the average line of surface shape lines and 2.5mum in width on the surface of an elastic layer where a resin layer is formed. CONSTITUTION:The fixing device has normally a heating source in its interior, and is constructed with a fixed roller contacting a non-fixed toner image T carried on a copying paper P and a pressure roller 10 pusing the copying paper P carrying the toner image on the roller 1. The rollers 1 and 10 are constituted in the same manner and composed of core metals 2 and 12, elastic layers 4 and 14 and resin layers 6 and 16. By making the surfaces of the elastic layers 4 and 14 coarser, the elastic layers 4 and 14 and the resin layers 6 and 16 are physically and mechanically jointed. The surfaces of the elastic layers 4 and 14 are available from forming the recessed part 2mum in depth from the average line of the surface shape lines and 2.5mum in width at less than 0.4mm pitch. Accordingly the conveying and fixing properties of the copying paper are improved to enhance wear resistance, and durability can be also improved. |
