PURPOSE:To detect precisely the size of each original within a short time to attain copying by forming the 1st detecting means for detecting the size of the original based on plural sensors arranged on an original placing plate and the 2nd detecting means for detecting the length of the original in its carrying direction. CONSTITUTION:Sensors S6, S7 detect the size of an original in its carrying direction, the original is carried in the arrow A direction by an original feeding roller 3a arranged on the right and of an original feeding part 3 and a sensor S1 for detecting the passing status ofo the original is arranged near the roller 3a. If the original size detected the sensor S1 is different from the original size detected by respective sensors on the original placing plate at the feeding of othe original, the contents of the original size OS2 detected by the sensor S1 is inputted to a buffer PS indicating paper size, the original size OS2 is shunted to a buffer OS1 and copying processing is executed on the paper with the size set up by the buffer PS. |
