PURPOSE:To form a product decreased of defects such as distortion, blowholes and cracks by constituting a metallic mold of plural split molds, and forming heat insulating gaps between the respective split molds thereby limiting the movement of the heat in the metallic molds and solidifying a molten metal at a uniform speed. CONSTITUTION:The metallic mold 1 is constituted of the split mold 1a forming a thick-walled part A1 of a product A and a split mold 1b forming a thin-walled part A2 of the product A. The molds 1a, 1b are installed in one matrix 1c to constitute a piece of the metallic mold 1. The heat insulating gaps 3 are formed among the molds 1a, 1b, 1c in order to improve the thermal dependency of the molds 1a, 1b, 1c. Cooling holes 2 for cooling the mold 1 are formed by a required number between the molds 1a and 1b and cooling pipes 5 are inserted therein. The flow rates of the cooling water are regulated for each of the molds 1a, 1b by the information on the finishing condition of the product A, temp. sensor, etc. by which the respective slit molds are optionally controlled in temp. |
