PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution and to attain the ease and accuracy of synchronization between terminal equipments by connecting a frame synchronizing pulse generating circuit and a clock signal generating circuit provided on the reception side to a transmission signal generating circuit and generating the transmission signal based on a common frame synchronizing pulse and a clock signal. CONSTITUTION:N sets of terminal equipments T1-TN of the same constitution transmitting/receiving data from the 1st to N-th channels are connected in cascade with an exchange 11. A reception section 12 fetches the data of the own channel and a transmission section 13 adds the data of the own channel to generate a transmission signal with a new frame format. In applying time division multiplex transmission to the data from the terminal equipments T1-TN to the exchange 11, each transmission section 13 of the terminal equipments T1-TN receives a frame synchronizing pulse and a clock signal from each reception section 12 to form the transmission side frame format equal to the frame format at the reception side based thereupon. Thus, the synchronization of the terminal equipments T1-TN is taken easily and accurately.
