PURPOSE:To smoothly manufacture a can by forming a bead of a specified shape in a divided position, bringing a divided side end part of a can drum to neck-in working, and obtaining a separate can drum having no wrinkle nor elastic return, when obtaining plural pieces of titled cans by dividing a long cylinder can drum. CONSTITUTION:A score 37 is formed in a position which becomes the boundary line of two pieces of can drums 20 of a blank 38 of a plural piece portion of the can drums, for instance, a two piece portion. Subsequently, a cylinder drum 8 is formed by making round this blank 38 and joining both the ends by welding, etc. Next, the whole periphery bead 42 is formed by performing the bead working projected to the inside along the score 37. Thereafter, the can drum 8 is cut along the score 37 by placing a cutter against it from the outside, and a separate can drum 20 which has been drawn to the inside so that the end part becomes a shape on the way of neck-in, and has a shape fitted well to a neck-in device. When this end part is brought to neck-in working, and a cover is wound and clamped to its end part, a neck-in can is smoothly obtained. In this regard, a formation of the bead 42 and the cutting are executed by a can drum dividing device for a neck-in can.
