PURPOSE:To enable a simultaneous accomplishment of a low NOx and a non- ignition of low ash to be performed by a method wherein two rows of ports are arranged for a two-stage combustion, two-stage combustion air is supplied from the ports to a furnace, respectively, and then a reduction combustion is performed. CONSTITUTION:Two-stage combustion air from first-stage combustion air ports 4 placed adjacent to burners 2 is well mixed with combustion gas within a furnace 1 and then a volume of non-ignited component in ash is decreased. further, a decomposition of NOx is promoted in the furnace 1 by air fed from combustion air ports 5 at the second stage of downstream of the burner 2.
